Type: Local event
Date: 5-6 April
Location: Manchester Metropolitan University
The conference will include a panel discussion, 'Co-ops and the Solidarity Economy: Challenges and opportunities'.
This will develop themes from the Co-operative College's best practice case studies, which highlight issues such as worker/employee ownership, management and empowerment, and decent work. In particular, our North West best practice case study focuses on Manchester Care and Share Associates, an employee-owned care provider.
We will also be joined by Markéta Vinkelhoferová and Karolína Silná from the Czech SUSY project partner Ecumenical Academy, who will lead a participatory workshop on new co-operatives in the Czech Republic.
